Anyone can become a blogger. They just have to create a site. The secret to being a good blogger (from my point of view, not saying I'm one), is one that has the patience, commitment, resources and ability+personality.

Patience.
To make posts interesting and stuff requires the time and thoughts of what to write and all, if not the post will be terribly messy! Not including editing of pictures (i don't bother, just use camera apps), like what xiaxue and other famous bloggers do. They put alot of time so that everyone will be able to have a good read.

Commitment.
If you wanna be a good blogger, you don't blog when you feel like it. Like how magazines are being issued every month, people look forward to reading and not being rather consistent might lose you lots of readers haha. So when you have a blog, put yourself in the reader's shoes. I blog hop alot and always can't wait for my favorite blogs to be updated. So yeah :-)

Resources.
If you don't have a camera of proper quality (doesn't have to be a Dale or wtv), why would people wanna see your pictures? Everyone loves looking at pretty things and people, lousy quality is a huge turn off haha.
& if you don't have like a computer, how're you gonna update and stuff?
Having an smart phone (with great apps installed) is like a basic must have I guess :p if not a good computer and camera.

Ability + personality.
If you aren't unique or good looking why would people wanna read or look at you? That's what I think ah, cause that's reality :-) People like reading interesting topics and reviews, so imagine reading a blog written in terrible English...... What a major turn off omg hahah.
Advertorials fair better than advertisements to a certain extent I suppose, cause it's rather genuine and persuasive :)
