Christmas 2014: Christmas tree hunting

(This is a really backlogged post but okay here goes,)

So it was the festive season and everyone was posting pics with Christmas lights and all.. and I was complaining and whining to Leon about how I didn't have any pics with Christmas trees to post. And this boy proceeded to say that he will bring me to take pics with every christmas tree in town HAHAHA. That got me really thrilled cuz like I've never done that before and I thought that was really sweet :')

We fondly refer this to "Christmas tree hunting" hehe, he goes to town quite a bit so i let him decide the route we should take :-) Just nice, the Saturday we decided to go was the first Saturday of december.. which means it was pedestrian night!!! This meant that orchard road would be closed for people to roam around freely hehehe

The route we took was 

Centrepoint > Orchard Central > Somerset 313 > Orchard Gateway > Heeren > Knightsbridge > ION > Takashimaya

POST CHRISTMAS TREE HUNTING SELFIES HEHEHE

It was really quite fun, a bit awkward at times cuz we had to keep asking passer-bys to help us take our pics hehe. but it was so fulfilling after the whole thing :-) I think we missed out some parts of town because they put up the trees a tad bit later than the usual places.... ah well, we got pics with 90% of them so it's all good!!!! Our favorites are definitely the cliche one at ION and the odd looking one at OC gateway HAHAHAHAHA

thank you so much to Leon, who put in so much effort and time to make my christmas season a special one :')

also brought him to Strictly Pancakes @ Siglap since he has never been there before!!!

I downsized my pancakes while he upsized it... even then, the portions were really too huge for us HAHAHA, and this was considering the fact that we were both famished before the meal. 

The pancakes there are rlly good, will follow the shop's recommendation (garlic prawns for savoury & druggie for sweet hehe). but pls try not to underestimate them as they are really 

SUPER DUPER FILLING!!!!

Christmas 2014: carolling + gardens by the bay

Headed to church for christmas carolling :-) Brought Leon along hehe. 

So thankful that he came :-)

Headed down to gardens by the bay with the family afterwards. The lights and deco there are so pretty!!!! we reached there just in time for the last light display hehe.

Camera went out of focus at certain times but hey it's a nice effect *__*

Although it was quite late alr, the place was still suuuuper crowded!! 

we wanted to go onto the bridge thingy but it didn't have free admission :-( the queue for it was also insane HAHA so yup we gave that a miss

Headed to this part of east coast park that was recently renovated or smth! Chilled at this bar called Atmosphere to watch soccer and have some sides hehe. Dad also finally bought me my first cocktail!!!!! I think it was sex on the beach haha. it cost like 13bux?!?!?! 

not too bad but i doubt i'll wanna order it again :p 

Was a rlly nice night, felt just like the old times where we would go out as a family and look at christmas deco & lights :') here's to many more :-)

Brunei 2014

So one of the last few hurdles Leon has to go through before getting his red beret is going to Brunei for exercise greenwood. It's a dreadful 20 days that both of us haven't been looking forward to but oh well :-( These are the things we did leading up to the day he flew off!!!!!

1. Shaving his head

I remember asking him if I could shave his head for him before he goes off to Brunei (cuz he mentioned that he'll shave bald for Brunei), and he said of course!! hehehe yay. 

Gotta admit I was a little sad cuz his hair was at such an adorable length HAHAHA 

but okay it was quite fun shaving it off 

Mid shave selfies!!! shaved off the sides to see if I could give him a cute mohawk or smth but nah it looked so funny HAHAHA

Then we just decided to try ridiculous hair styles before finally shaving all of it off!!

AND FINALLY it's done. all his hair gone naww

SO SORRY again that I shaved it too short it's too short TT__TT

Headed to SMU after to study!! started to miss his tuff of hair alr HAHAH 

2. Eat llao llao

3. Watch him pack for Brunei

Packing for brunei!! Tried on his ilbv which was SUPER smelly 

hahahaha cuz he wore it for his 35 km march.

4. Have a good meal

Went to HV for dinner!! bumped into this 2 super adorable bull dogs *__*

Finally got to try EWF :-)

Here's him booking in cuz he had ippt the next day!!! Congrats to him for getting Commando Gold, FINALLY!!!! you did it hehe :-)

5. Give him his Brunei 2014 tin can 

Gave him his brunei care pack :-) it's really just 20 notes for the 20 days he is gonna be away...

but I hope these notes will serve to motivate and encourage him when times get tough. & also, it'll feel like we aren't really apart :-) 

On the day he was leaving, he surprised me with 'BRUNEI 20' hehe, 

his set of notes for me (which was really unexpected)!!

6. Lock (our love for) each other up (LOL)

7. Take a picture with his poster

12 hours before he was scheduled to fly off, he dragged me to ACS to collect his sec with him. Immediately regretted laughing at him when he crashed RI HAHAHA 

but hey I finally got to take a pic with his poster ;-)

& then it was time for him to fly off :-(

was really difficult to part with him.. 

I mean I honestly didn't think it would've been that hard but ah well :(((

That's about it. Got home and talked to him on the phone for abit more before his plane took off haha. 

I woke up to a few whatsapp messages he managed to send me using the cookhouse's weak as hell wifi haha... but still better than nothing :') i miss him so much TT___TT

ah well there's good to this also, 

I can spend all my time on revision (which i'm in dire need of) (there's not enough time fUCK)
