Haven't been updating my blog so I have a lot of back logged posts.... :-(
but hey better late than never hehehe

Thursday, 8th January 2015

I won some 1 for 1 hair voucher thingy so I decided to ask Glenna along with me so we could do our hair + catch up hehe. Haven't seen her in awhile, so glad we finally did meet :')

The hair thingy didn't go too well because for some reason when I called to book the appointment, the guy told me it's free... but when we went down to do it we had to pay. We paid for the price of 1 for the both of us but still :-( lesson learnt to always double check T.T

ah well, felt kinda shitty.. but hey time spent together was priceless ;-) HAHAHA

We spent a lot of time just catching up and talking, I rant to her like crazy as usual haha. I'm just so thankful for her because she is one of the few friends I have that I know I can turn to anytime :-) she knows I've got her back too hehehehe

Headed down to ion after, she had to leave early for dinner with her parents.
So we just walked around forever 21 and went to Kate Spade to check out cute wallets HAHAHA

She also accompanied me to do something I've contemplated for awhile now...
get my helix piercing hehe.

Okay to be very honest my threshold for piercings is generally very low. I would say it's probably because of the fact that my dad only allowed me to get my lobe piercings in sec 4, so I tend to be more sensitive towards piercings? idk hahaha.
I've always wanted a helix piercing but the thought of actually getting it always scared me HAHA. I don't even know how I finally had the courage to finally get it but I did it :-) I spent the night before reading up a lot about the pain level, the myths of piercing the helix, recovery period, aftercare etc.

say hi to helly the helix piercing ;)
I pierced my right helix! My right lobe piercing was left to close because it got infected :-( I repierced it already and now it's all good hehe. I pierced it at Xcraft where they used a gun... and yes I was a bit wary at first but I went with it anyway after reading up online. The risk of infection and all is the same if your piercer doesn't do it properly or is unhygienic, regardless of using a gun or needle. It was so funny because I asked the girl, "Do you have a helix piercing?" and she just lifted up her hair to show me her whole row of multiple helixes HAHA. I also asked her if she pierced for people and she said "yes, many times already :)" which left me feeling a lot more relieved hehe :-)

I think the pain is really bearable, the piercing itself didn't hurt but it remained sore for abit after. I felt that repiercing my right lobe was slightly more... shocking?? idek HAHA i think it was because the gun sound was a lot more louder (as it was nearer to my ear hole). Anyhow, I'm so glad I finally got it pierced and it's healing well :-)

Went to meet Leon after because he had nights out!!!!
So happy, very thankful for random nights out he gets.. they are like mini surprises HAHA

All good things have to come to an end though :-(

bumped into these 2 beautiful dogs in the lift otw up to my place.... they look so cute!!!!
I asked the owner if I could snap a pic of them and he was like, "Sure!! they are very photogenic" HAHA ahhhh *inserts heartshaped eyes emoji*

post As: making pearls

Woke up today ard 1 pm hahaha. could really get used to this chill life :')
decided to cook some pearls i bought because they were gonna expire soon HAHAHA bought them because i'm a huge fan of chewy stuff(?) eg. blackball hehe. was a bit scared because I tried cooking them before but failed :-( so this time I decided to follow the instructions on the packet!!!!

I briefly read through and plonked most of the pearls inside. but after awhile I felt like I was doing something wrong cuz there was just like a puddle in the  pot and no pearls :-(
then i realised.............

I WAS SUPPOSE TO PUT THE PEARLS IN BOILING WATER
not put them in and boil the water

F M L LOLOLOLOL
wasted about 3/4 of the packet but okay had some left over so i redid the whole thing

Left the pearls boiling for slightly over 30 mins and yay they turned out quite well!!!!

Braised them for about 15 mins and drained the water :-)

very pleased with how they turned out, super chewy :')

Christmas 2014: Christmas tree hunting

(This is a really backlogged post but okay here goes,)
So it was the festive season and everyone was posting pics with Christmas lights and all.. and I was complaining and whining to Leon about how I didn't have any pics with Christmas trees to post. And this boy proceeded to say that he will bring me to take pics with every christmas tree in town HAHAHA. That got me really thrilled cuz like I've never done that before and I thought that was really sweet :')

We fondly refer this to "Christmas tree hunting" hehe, he goes to town quite a bit so i let him decide the route we should take :-) Just nice, the Saturday we decided to go was the first Saturday of december.. which means it was pedestrian night!!! This meant that orchard road would be closed for people to roam around freely hehehe

The route we took was
Centrepoint > Orchard Central > Somerset 313 > Orchard Gateway > Heeren > Knightsbridge > ION > Takashimaya

Pics are not in order cuz after uploading to blogger they got all mixed up!!!!

PARAGON!!!!

CENTREPOINT!!!!
ORCHARD CENTRAL :-)
 SOMERSET 313

HEEREN!!!
KNIGHTSBRIDGE :-)
ION :-)
TAKASHIMAYA 1
TAKASHIMAYA 2
OC GATEWAY :-)

POST CHRISTMAS TREE HUNTING SELFIES HEHEHE

It was really quite fun, a bit awkward at times cuz we had to keep asking passer-bys to help us take our pics hehe. but it was so fulfilling after the whole thing :-) I think we missed out some parts of town because they put up the trees a tad bit later than the usual places.... ah well, we got pics with 90% of them so it's all good!!!! Our favorites are definitely the cliche one at ION and the odd looking one at OC gateway HAHAHAHAHA
thank you so much to Leon, who put in so much effort and time to make my christmas season a special one :')

also brought him to Strictly Pancakes @ Siglap since he has never been there before!!!

I downsized my pancakes while he upsized it... even then, the portions were really too huge for us HAHAHA, and this was considering the fact that we were both famished before the meal.
The pancakes there are rlly good, will follow the shop's recommendation (garlic prawns for savoury & druggie for sweet hehe). but pls try not to underestimate them as they are really
SUPER DUPER FILLING!!!!

2 / 365

Still feels pretty surreal that I didn't have to wake up for school today hahaha. So today I did the first exciting thing of 2015, something I've been wanting to try for awhile: get a Bwax
Getting a bwax sounds rlly scary at the start, but I've read up abt it enough for almost a year now to just feel a bit more assured HAHAHA. After talking to people & reading reviews etc., it seems to me that a bwax is defo gonna be painful, but bearable for most. I've never tried waxing of any sort before so the thought of a wax is quite nerve wrecking HAHAHA

I was just scrolling through groupon and saw one for bwax. It must've been a YOLO moment because I immediately called to book an appointment haha. It was $18, quite a reasonable price for a bwax!

I'm not going to list out all the benefits of waxing and all cuz like
1. didn't decide to do a wax based on it's benefits
2. it can be found all over the web

ootd hehe
The process was really simple. Enter the place, go to the toilet, clean with baby wipes and the waxing begins. The whole thing was also done very professionally! I was told it would take around 30-45 mins, especially since it was my first time.
True enough, it took about 40-45 mins for me :-)

My reaction after the bwax? looked a bit something like this:

HAHAHAHAHA
It was quite painful for me... hahaha. After the whole thing I literally just looked like the pic above. Went on whining to Leon about how it was so painful and everything HAHAH. But honestly, I was just SO glad it was over. I will never understand how people can sign packages for bwaxes and put themselves through this every few months TT___TT. Newfound respect for anyone who does waxing regularly HAHAHA
I was definitely quite pleased with the outcome though! But I think other less painful alternatives to getting a bwax will suffice for me. Everyone should try it at least once tho hahaha it is quite an interesting experience.

Will I go back again? probably not, because I'm such a pussy HAHAHA T.T

Price: 5/5 (for a first timer price)
Pain level: 4/5
Awkwardness level: 2/5

Thank you for accompanying me down and dealing with whiny me after :p

So in love with the prints of my dress hehe
